Vintage Baseball Game
Step back in time at Ada Park as it transforms into an early 1900s ballfield! The 4th Annual Vintage Baseball Game is back, bringing you the crack of wooden bats, classic uniforms, and old fashioned rules. Cheer on the Cascade Sentinels as they try to even the series against the Ada Grangers. Who will take home the win? Don’t miss this lively celebration of baseball history!

Museum Closed
Each January and February the museum closes to visitation. Volunteers enjoy some R&R and a great deal of behind the scenes work occurs, from cleaning to working with artifacts to installing the new exhibit. We’re getting ready to reopen in March!

Ada’s Santa Parade begins at 11am and there will be cookies and hot chocolate in the History Center barn.

We honor those who have served with a Veterans’ Day lecture. Presenter Sean Sullivan will discuss his Army career as a helicopter pilot, Michigan National Guard training officer and deployment to Haiti and Iraq.

Garden Event Class
DIY easy concrete pumpkin class. Take home an easy, small concrete pumpkin for fall decor. Can be used indoors or out on the porch or garden. Can be painted when you get home if desired. We’ll provide what you need to finish one. Wear your old clothes and join us for a bit of fall fun.

There was a trading post near the mouth of the Thornapple River 200 years ago. It fostered relationships between the Indigenous community and the incoming European and American fur traders. It’s a fascinating time in our history, brought back to life this September. Come experience the sights and sounds of a fur trading camp and meet family descendants of Ada’s own Rix Robinson.

Ada Village Walking Tour
Let’s walk through history looking at the changes to the heart of Ada’s village. Tour covers roughly a mile in one hour. No registration required - meet at Legacy Park across from Foxtail Coffee.
