Celebrating Women: Spring Into the Past small museums tour

  • Ada History Center 7144 Headley Street Southeast Ada, MI, 49301 United States (map)

Spring Into the Past is the annual event of the Tri-River Historical Museum Network that received the 2021 State Award for Special Programs/Events from the Historical Society of Michigan.  Over 30 museums or historical societies in Barry, Eaton, Ionia, Kent and Montcalm counties participate the same hours on this first weekend in May so people can visit several museums on the same days.

The 2022 theme is Celebrating Women to depict the many "hats" that women have worn over the centuries as they serve their families in the home or community and fight for equality in many different ways. The Ada History Center will feature a special display prepared by the National Archives about the 100th anniversary of women’s suffrage.

All museums are free, but donations are appreciated. Booklets with a map and information are available at all member museums, or map your tour ahead of time by downloading a booklet at  commoncorners.com. Taking your children or grandchildren to a museum provides a wonderful opportunity to share your life and memories in a unique way!
