Lynn Chapman and Jessica Yann will discuss research on the archaeology of the fur trade in the Grand River Valley and Ada in particular, including Dr. Ruth Herrick’s report on the Ada dig. Yann is an assistant professor in the Department of Anthropology at MSU. Chapman is president of the Coffinberry Chapter of the Michigan Archaeological Society. Experts in their fields, they will share insights into the world of the fur trade and the relationships between participants such as Rix Robinson here 200 years ago.
